Mawhiba student excels at 14th International Invention Fair in Middle East

Riyadh, February 8, 2024, The King Abdulaziz and his Companions Foundation for Giftedness and Creativity, known as "Mawhiba," proudly announced the outstanding achievement of one of its students at the 14th annual International Invention Fair in the Middle East (IIFME). This prestigious event, held from February 4th to 7th, received the patronage of the Amir of Kuwait, Sheikh Mishal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah.

The foundation's remarkable contribution to the fair came through the innovative work of Dr. Hassan bin Nizar Khudari, who presented an invention centered on advanced nanoparticles designed to combat malaria. Dr. Khudari originally conceived this groundbreaking project during his participation in the National Olympiad for Scientific Creativity "Ibdaa" in 2013, where he clinched the fourth position. Demonstrating exceptional talent and dedication, the inventor further showcased his ingenuity at the Intel International Science and Engineering Fair (Intel ISEF), securing an impressive third place.

The International Invention Fair in the Middle East (IIFME) holds significant stature as one of the foremost exhibitions of inventions in the region, having been organized annually since 2007. The overarching aim of the event is to foster a culture of invention and creativity within the Gulf community while fostering connections among inventors, creators, institutions, and economic entities.

Dr. Khudari's success exemplifies the spirit of innovation and excellence cultivated by Mawhiba, reflecting its commitment to nurturing gifted individuals and fostering a culture of scientific inquiry and creativity. His achievement not only brings pride to the foundation but also underscores the importance of investing in education and research to drive progress and innovation in the region.
