McLaren unveils Artura Spider, its first convertible hybrid supercar.

McLaren unveils its latest innovation, the Artura Spider, marking the brand's inaugural high-performance hybrid convertible and the second addition to the Artura lineup. The new Spider showcases substantial enhancements in power, performance, and driver engagement, bringing an exhilarating open-top driving experience to the Artura range.

This new model builds upon the existing Artura coupe, integrating the same upgrades to elevate supercar performance to new heights while retaining the Artura's signature blend of dynamic capabilities and everyday usability. Both the Spider and the coupe excel in providing exceptional driving dynamics, from spirited performance on the track to effortless cruising on regular roads, along with the added benefit of near-silent electric propulsion for urban driving.

Meticulously crafted with a focus on driver engagement, performance, agility, refinement, efficiency, and quality, the Artura Spider features a retractable hard-top that seamlessly transforms the car into a convertible in just 11 seconds, enhancing the thrill of open-air driving.

Powered by a high-performance hybrid powertrain, the Artura Spider boasts impressive figures, with a total output of 700PS (690bhp) and a maximum torque of 720Nm (530lb ft). Its advanced 3.0-liter V6 engine, now producing over 200PS per liter, delivers exhilarating acceleration, propelling the Spider from 0-100km/h (0-62mph) in just 3.0 seconds and reaching a top speed of 330km/h (205mph).

Despite its convertible nature, the Artura Spider remains remarkably lightweight, tipping the scales at just 1,457kg, making it the lightest convertible supercar in its class and offering a power-to-weight ratio of 480PS/tonne at its lightest dry weight. This lightweight construction, combined with McLaren's Carbon Lightweight Architecture, ensures exceptional agility and handling prowess, maintaining the Artura's reputation as a next-generation supercar.

Inside the cabin, drivers are treated to a purposeful yet luxurious environment, featuring McLaren's innovative Clubsport seat as standard and a driver-focused design that prioritizes ergonomics and functionality. The Artura also offers advanced infotainment and connectivity features, including smartphone mirroring and wireless charging options, along with a suite of driver assistance technologies for added convenience and safety.

With its striking design, exhilarating performance, and cutting-edge technology, the McLaren Artura Spider sets a new benchmark for high-performance convertible supercars, offering an unmatched driving experience that combines the thrill of open-top motoring with the dynamic capabilities expected of a McLaren.

Stay tuned for the latest updates and release dates for McLaren models in the Saudi market.
