Riyadh, February 19, 2024, Minister of Media, Salman bin Yousef Al-Dosari, and Minister of Communications and Information Technology, Eng. Abdullah bin Amer Al-Swaha, paid a visit to the Ministry of Interior's pavilion at the Future of Media Exhibition (FOMEX) today. The FOMEX is being held in conjunction with the activities of the third edition of the Saudi Media Forum, organized by the Saudi Broadcasting Authority (SBA) in collaboration with the Saudi Journalists Association in Riyadh.
During their visit, the two ministers were briefed on the applications of artificial intelligence (AI) and digital solutions serving pilgrims. They were also introduced to the 'Makkah Route' Initiative, a leading project within the Pilgrim Experience Program, a component of Saudi Vision 2030. Other aspects covered at the pavilion included the National Center for Security Operations, the tourist visa program, efforts to enhance traffic safety and quality of life, and the electronic services provided through the Ministry of Interior's "Absher" platform.
The Ministry of Interior's participation in the Saudi Media Forum aims to showcase the diverse services of the Directorate of Public Security, the General Directorate of Passports, the National Center for Security Operations, and the ministry's significant media activities related to security tasks. This platform allows the ministry to highlight its contributions to public safety and security through various innovative initiatives and technological advancements.
