N'Djamena, January 09, 2025 – In a continued demonstration of its commitment to humanitarian aid and global health, the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) has successfully delivered a significant shipment of medical equipment and supplies to the Ministry of Public Health of the Republic of Chad. This gesture is part of Saudi Arabia’s ongoing efforts to support the healthcare infrastructure in countries facing critical medical needs, particularly in regions affected by conflict or limited resources.
The official handover ceremony took place in N'Djamena, the capital of Chad, and was attended by key figures from both the Saudi and Chadian governments. Saudi Arabia’s Deputy Ambassador to Chad, Mohammed bin Abdulaziz Al-Salem, was present to mark the occasion alongside Dr. Abdelmajid Abdelrahim, Chad's Minister of Public Health. The event also saw the participation of a delegation from KSrelief, led by Dr. Abdullah bin Saleh Al-Muallem, the Director of the Health and Environmental Aid Department at KSrelief.
The shipment, which includes essential medical supplies such as surgical instruments, pharmaceuticals, and diagnostic equipment, is expected to bolster Chad’s healthcare system, particularly in its efforts to provide critical medical care in underserved areas. These supplies will be instrumental in supporting the country’s medical professionals and hospitals, addressing both immediate health crises and long-term healthcare needs.
KSrelief’s involvement in Chad is part of a broader initiative to assist countries around the world with humanitarian aid, particularly in health-related areas. Over the years, the center has become a key player in delivering aid to conflict zones, disaster-stricken regions, and underserved communities, helping to alleviate suffering and improve the quality of life for millions of people.
The partnership between KSrelief and Chad’s Ministry of Public Health reflects Saudi Arabia's broader strategy to enhance global health security and humanitarian support. It also reinforces the Kingdom’s dedication to international cooperation and solidarity with nations in need, in line with its Vision 2030 goals of fostering positive global engagement and contributing to worldwide peace and development.
During the handover ceremony, both the Saudi and Chadian representatives expressed their appreciation for the continued collaboration between the two countries, emphasizing the importance of these humanitarian efforts in strengthening ties and contributing to the welfare of the people of Chad. Minister Abdelrahim extended his gratitude for the support, noting that the medical supplies would make a significant difference in improving healthcare access and treatment for those in need.
As the ceremony concluded, Dr. Al-Muallem highlighted KSrelief’s ongoing commitment to providing medical assistance globally and reaffirmed the center’s role in responding to humanitarian crises with efficiency and dedication.
