The Global Industrial Internet of Things Summit (GIITS) kicked off at the Dhahran Exhibition Center, marking the first summit of its kind in the Middle East. During the event, Wael Al-Jaafari, Executive Vice President of Technical Services at Saudi Aramco, highlighted the company's commitment to incorporating industrial internet of things (IIoT) technology into its operations. Saudi Aramco aims to leverage IIoT to enhance safety, efficiency, and innovation in the energy industry.

Al-Jaafari shared that Saudi Aramco has successfully implemented IIoT across various aspects of its business, including project implementation, employee safety, operational assets, and environmental performance monitoring. By investing in smart solutions, digital data flow, and sensing technologies, the company has transformed its facilities into intelligent ecosystems, enabling the implementation of scalable IIoT applications and solutions.

This summit serves as a significant platform for industry leaders to exchange knowledge, explore advancements in IIoT, and discuss its potential impact on the energy sector.
