Riyadh, November 22, 2024 – Riyadh Season, the Kingdom’s premier entertainment festival, has set a new remarkable milestone, as it surpasses 6 million visitors, just one week after announcing that it had crossed the 4 million mark. This achievement marks a significant leap forward for the festival, showcasing its growing global appeal and the thriving entertainment scene in Saudi Arabia.
Advisor Turki Alalshikh, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Saudi General Entertainment Authority (GEA), praised the rapid growth in attendance, noting that the 2 million additional visitors within a span of just seven days reflects the festival's ability to captivate a diverse audience. This surge in visitor numbers has been largely fueled by the recent first-semester school break, which saw an influx of both local and international visitors drawn to the wide variety of events and entertainment zones on offer.
Among the key attractions driving this surge are some of the newly launched zones, such as "The Venue", located near the renowned Kingdom Arena. Other popular areas like "Boulevard City", "Boulevard World", "Zoo", and "Al-Suwaidi Park" have seen a remarkable increase in attendance, each offering a unique array of experiences that cater to diverse tastes. Additionally, the recently opened "Wonder Garden" has also become a favorite among visitors, further contributing to the increase in foot traffic.
This new record in visitor numbers further solidifies Riyadh Season’s position as one of the world’s leading entertainment destinations, providing a dynamic mix of attractions, including boxing and wrestling matches, tennis tournaments, international concerts, top-tier restaurants, expansive parks, and much more. As the event continues to evolve, it promises even more exciting experiences for the remainder of the season, offering a captivating and unparalleled experience for all attendees.
The success of Riyadh Season is a testament to the Kingdom's ongoing commitment to diversifying its entertainment offerings and positioning itself as a global hub for cultural and recreational experiences, in line with the ambitious goals outlined in Saudi Vision 2030.
