RIYADH April 5, 2025 — Chief of the General Staff Lieutenant General Fayyadh Al-Ruwaili met with Commander of US Central Command General Michael Kurilla in Riyadh to discuss military and defense cooperation between Saudi Arabia and the United States. They also explored ways to strengthen and develop strategic ties.

The meeting was part of ongoing defense coordination between the two allies.

The US State Department recently approved a new arms deal, allowing the sale of precision-guided weapon systems to Saudi Arabia.

Last month, Saudi Minister of Defense Prince Khalid bin Salman visited Washington, D.C., where he held talks with US Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth on bilateral matters.

Both sides reaffirmed the strength of the US-Saudi strategic partnership and discussed new opportunities to enhance defense collaboration.

The discussions also included reviews of regional and international efforts to promote peace and stability.
