Riyadh, January 17, 2024, Minister of Media Salman bin Yousef Al-Dosari hosted the Chairman of Qatar Media Corporation (QMC), Sheikh Hamad bin Thamer Al Thani, and his accompanying delegation at the ministry's headquarters today. The meeting provided an opportunity for the two sides to discuss mutual topics and explore avenues to enhance cooperation in the media field.
Warmly welcoming Sheikh Hamad and his delegation, Minister Al-Dosari underscored the significance of their visit to the Kingdom. The discussions delved into activating proposed initiatives for collaboration within the framework of the strategic partnership between the Ministry of Media in Saudi Arabia and QMC. These initiatives were announced during the seventh meeting session of the Saudi-Qatari Coordination Council, held in Doha on December 5, 2023. The council was co-chaired by His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister of Saudi Arabia, and Amir of the State of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani.
In response, Sheikh Hamad expressed gratitude to Minister Al-Dosari for the generous hospitality and warm reception. He emphasized the importance of fostering an effective partnership between Qatari and Saudi media, highlighting the potential for collaboration in advancing the media landscape of both nations.
The meeting was attended by several officials from both Saudi Arabia and Qatar, marking a collaborative effort to strengthen ties and promote constructive engagement in the media sector.
