Riyadh, October 05, 2023, Eng. Abdulrahman bin Abdulmohsen Al-Fadhli, the Minister of Environment, Water, and Agriculture, presided over the closing ceremony of the Agriculture Hackathon, where winners were honored. The event, aimed at fostering innovation in the agricultural sector, challenged young individuals, developers, and innovators to address industry challenges through digital solutions.
The competition, organized by the Ministry, was open to participants from various agricultural backgrounds, including university students, graduates, entrepreneurs, specialists, and programmers with innovative technical ideas. The atmosphere was characterized by enthusiasm and creativity.
The top spot in the agricultural sustainability and food security development track was secured by Team "Manbatt," earning them a prize of SAR150,000. In the same category, "Expert Saif" claimed second place, receiving a prize of SAR100,000. Lastly, "Palm Optical" ranked third in the plant and animal health track, winning a prize of SAR50,000.
These awards recognize and incentivize innovative approaches to addressing crucial challenges in the agricultural sector, ultimately contributing to the growth and sustainability of the industry.
