Beijing, April 29, 2024, Minister of Municipal, Rural Affairs, and Housing Majid bin Abdullah Al-Hogail, who also chairs the Housing Program Committee, recently engaged in discussions with China's Minister of Housing and Urban-Rural Development, Ni Hong, during a meeting in Beijing. The primary focus of the meeting was to explore avenues for enhancing cooperation between Saudi Arabia and China in areas of mutual interest. The Saudi Ambassador to China, Abdulrahman bin Ahmad Al-Harbi, was also present at the meeting.
The discussions between the two ministers revolved around potential collaborations in developing housing policies and programs. This included sharing experiences and best practices in city planning, sustainable urban development, leveraging construction technology, and identifying investment opportunities for real estate and infrastructure projects within residential communities.
Furthermore, the ministers exchanged insights on successful housing solutions and options, with a particular emphasis on increasing homeownership opportunities for citizens and enhancing urban management practices. Minister Al-Hogail highlighted the significance of strengthening the partnership and aligning Saudi Arabia's Vision 2030 with China's Belt and Road Initiative.
