Davos, Jan 18, 2024, Saudi Arabia's Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, Cabinet Member, and Climate Affairs Envoy, Adel bin Ahmed Al-Jubeir, took part as a speaker in a session titled “Bold Steps for a Sustainable MENA” at the World Economic Forum (WEF) Annual Meeting 2024 in Davos, Switzerland.
During the session, Al-Jubeir highlighted the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's commitment to energy diversification as a response to the growing global demand for energy. He emphasized the Kingdom's ambition to transcend being solely an oil exporter and to become a leading exporter of various energy sources.

He underscored Saudi Arabia's dedication to collaborating with other nations in reducing emissions and addressing the challenges posed by climate change.
Furthermore, Al-Jubeir showcased Saudi Arabia's comprehensive approach to environmental preservation, Earth protection, and climate change mitigation. He pointed out the Kingdom's adoption of circular economy principles for carbon, initiatives in afforestation, city redesign, and waste recycling. This reflects Saudi Arabia's proactive stance in contributing to global efforts for sustainable development and combating climate change.
