Riyadh, December 13, 2023, Dr. Majid bin Abdullah Al Qasabi, the Minister of Commerce, received a delegation from the World Bank Group (WBG) to discuss implemented economic reforms and their role in improving the business environment and enhancing Saudi Arabia's global competitiveness. During the meeting, Minister Al-Qasabi highlighted that these reforms have received support and guidance from His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Crown Prince, and Prime Minister, as part of the Saudi Vision 2030. The Vision aims at structural reforms in economic sectors and sustainable economic growth.
The meeting, which was attended by the Executive Director of the Saudi Office at the WBG, Eng. Khaled Bawazier covered various initiatives and programs of the Saudi Vision 2030. Discussions also focused on the roles of the National Competitiveness Center (NCC) in developing and improving the business environment in Saudi Arabia, with positive impacts on global reports and indicators.
As part of the visit, the delegation toured the Saudi Business Center in ROSHN and was briefed on the services provided to the business sector through its branches and the "Business" platform. These integrated services, offered by various government entities, aim to position the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia as a global leader in the quality and efficiency of government services directed towards the business sector.
