Makkah, December 8, 2023, The Minister of Hajj and Umrah, Dr. Tawfiq bin Fawzan Al-Rabiah, foresees a notable increase in the number of Indian Umrah pilgrims in the coming times, following the conclusion of his official visit to India. Emphasizing the Kingdom's commitment to facilitating the journey for those aspiring to visit the Two Holy Mosques, Islamic historic sites, and various tourist destinations, regardless of visa type, the minister highlighted several initiatives aimed at streamlining arrival procedures.
Extending a warm welcome to guests from India eager to visit the Two Holy Mosques, Al-Rabiah engaged in meetings with top officials, including the Minister of External Affairs and the Minister of Minority Affairs, along with CEOs of various Indian Umrah companies. These discussions were centered on strengthening cooperation to ensure the comfort and satisfaction of pilgrims from India and enhancing the overall experience for visitors.
Al-Rabiah underscored efforts to remove obstacles faced by Indian Umrah pilgrims, including measures such as increasing the number of flights and seat capacity, facilitating e-visas through Tasheer centers across India, and highlighting the services of the Nusuk platform for efficient Umrah planning.
As part of his visit, the minister inaugurated three visa centers and the exhibition of the Nusuk platform. The Nusuk platform, designed to provide information about historic and Islamic sites in Makkah and Madinah, received praise during the exhibition for its facilitative electronic services, contributing to an enriched spiritual journey for pilgrims.
