Riyadh, September 20, 2023, Minister of Human Resources and Social Development Engineer Ahmad bin Sulaiman Al-Rajhi participated in today's eighth meeting of the Gulf Cooperation Council's (GCC) Ministerial Committee on Social Development Affairs in Muscat, Sultanate of Oman. The agenda included the Supreme Council's 41st session decision regarding the unified guiding law for empowering persons with disabilities, the unified guiding law for volunteer work, and the strategy of joint action for women's affairs in GCC countries. The meeting also addressed the first initiative of the GCC's social development strategy, which entails the development of unified policies to guarantee the cohesion and stability of Gulf society, as well as the promotion of Gulf citizenship and Arab and Islamic identity.
This meeting contributes to the strengthening of cooperation between the GCC nations, allowing them to stay apprised of global changes in social development.
