Minister Alkhorayef holds meetings in Tunisia during official visit, heads Saudi delegation

Tunis, December 26, 2023, Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources Bandar Ibrahim Alkhorayef has held several meetings with Tunisian ministers during his official visit to the Republic of Tunisia, where he is heading the Kingdom’s delegation to the 11th session of the Saudi-Tunisian Joint Committee, currently held in Tunis and is participating in the Saudi-Tunisian Investment and Partnership Forum.

The meetings were attended by Saudi Ambassador to Tunis Dr. Abdulaziz bin Ali Al-Saqr.

Alkhorayef engaged in discussions with various Tunisian officials during his visit. He met with Sihem Boughdiri, the Tunisian interim Minister of Economy and Planning, who heads the Tunisian delegation in the 11th session of the Saudi-Tunisian Joint Committee. Their meeting centered on exploring avenues to bolster cooperation and mutual investments between both nations.

Additionally, Alkhorayef conferred with Abdelmonem Belati, the Minister of Agriculture, Water Resources, and Fisheries of Tunisia, focusing on expanding Saudi-Tunisian collaboration. They also addressed plans to formalize a memorandum of understanding in the field of water resources.

Furthering the dialogue on economic ties, Alkhorayef met Kalthoum Ben Rejeb, the Minister of Trade and Export Development. Their discussions revolved around opportunities to augment the bilateral trade volume and increase Saudi non-oil exports to Tunisia.

Moreover, he engaged with Ahlam Al-Baji Al-Sayeb, the chief-of-staff of Tunisia's Ministry of Industry, Mines, and Energy, to explore avenues for strengthening cooperation in the industry and mining sectors. They also discussed potential joint investments involving the private sectors of both countries.
