The Minister of Commerce and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the General Authority for Foreign Trade, Dr. Majid bin Abdullah Al-Qasabi, met with the Algerian Minister for Trade and Export Promotion, Tayeb Zitouni, and his delegation today. During the meeting, Dr. Al-Qasabi emphasized the significance of strengthening trade and investment relations between the two countries. He highlighted the importance of building partnerships and strategic alliances between the private sectors in various fields, aligning with the Kingdom's objectives and programs to keep pace with evolving developments.

Dr. Al-Qasabi further expressed the Kingdom's commitment to enhancing trade relations with Algeria. This includes organizing trade exhibitions and streamlining entry procedures for goods to reduce customs restrictions that impede intra-regional trade. Notably, the volume of trade between Saudi Arabia and Algeria amounted to SAR12.6 billion from 2018 to 2022. Plastic products were the main Saudi exports, while metal products were the prominent goods imported from Algeria into the Kingdom.
