Minister of Hajj and Umrah Concludes Visit to Russian Federation


Jeddah, September 13, 2024 – Dr. Tawfig Al-Rabiah, the Minister of Hajj and Umrah, has concluded a significant official visit to the Russian Federation and its regions, where he held several meetings aimed at strengthening cooperation and enhancing services for pilgrims and visitors.


During his visit, Dr. Al-Rabiah extended a warm welcome to Russian Muslims, emphasizing Saudi Arabia’s dedication to providing opportunities for all to perform Hajj and Umrah. He highlighted the role of digital solutions in line with Saudi Vision 2030, which are designed to improve services and achieve greater satisfaction among pilgrims.



Dr. Al-Rabiah’s itinerary included a meeting with Ramzan Kadyrov, the Head of the Chechen Republic, who commended Saudi Arabia’s efforts. Additionally, he met with officials from Dagestan and Tatarstan to explore ways to enhance the pilgrim experience.



In Moscow, Dr. Al-Rabiah engaged in discussions with high-ranking Russian officials, including Deputy Prime Minister Tatyana Golikova and Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov. These discussions focused on enhancing cooperation and improving services for Russian pilgrims.



The visit also featured the opening of the "Nusuk" exhibition, which aims to foster collaboration between service providers and showcase new services available for pilgrims. This initiative aligns with Saudi Vision 2030, which seeks to meet the aspirations of pilgrims and visitors globally by improving coordination and enhancing their overall experience.
