Sheikh Dr. Abdullatif bin Abdulaziz Al-Sheikh presided over the 14th Executive Council meeting of the Conference of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs Ministers in the Islamic World.
The summit, hosted by King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, will start tomorrow in Makkah and last for two days, with attendees from 62 different countries.
The council approved the agenda for the upcoming ninth conference and agreed to hold the 15th session of the Executive Council in the Kingdom of Morocco.

The 14th Executive Council meeting of the Conference of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs Ministers in the Islamic World was chaired today by Sheikh Dr. The Minister of Islamic Affairs, Dawah and Guidance, is the Executive President of the Conference – Abdullatif bin Abdulaziz Al-Sheikh. He was also the Executive President of the meeting. King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, will be the host beginning tomorrow, and the two-day summit will be held in Makkah. Currently, there are 62 nations having leaders as well as representatives from various Islamic councils and organizations, including Muftis and Ministers of Awqaf and Islamic affairs herein present. Following consideration of today's discussions the eminent people accepted what was put forth regarding future events concerning their 9th Congress. The General Secretariat decided to hold its 15th Executive Council session in the Kingdom of Morocco after deliberating upon the proposal by the latter for the next conference.
This decision was brought about by an invitation from Morocco's Minister of Endowments and Islamic Affairs, Ahmed Toufiq.We talked about the theme of the 14th annual conference and the many proposals that were made, as well as the council's working procedure. Tomorrow, the two-day event of Umrah is scheduled to take place in Makkah that is going to inaugurate with King Salman Bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques. The Ministry of Islamic Affairs has organized this event.
The umrah ceremony has in attendance Ministers of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs as well as muftis from 62 different Islamic councils globally.
The current meeting's agenda was reviewed, and everyone agreed to endorse the agenda for the next ninth conference.
The 15th session of the Executive Council was held in the Kingdom of Morocco upon the invitation of Ahmed Toufiq, the Moroccan Minister of Endowments and Islamic Affairs, acting in accordance with a recommendation made by the General Secretariat for the forthcoming Conference.
The working procedure of the council and possible themes for the 14th annual conference were also reviewed at the meeting. This year's theme, in particular, focuses on issues relevant to the changing needs of the Ministries of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs in view of new trends in the Islamic world.
In order to increase the efficacy of the council, member states discussed the issue and made suggestions. Eight countries make up the Executive Council: Kuwait, Egypt, Morocco, Saudi Arabia, Jordan, Indonesia, Pakistan, Gambia, and Kuwait. It adheres to a particular protocol to oversee the execution of general conference resolutions, make pertinent decisions and recommendations, and provide agendas, reports, and prepared materials for conferences."
