New York, October 24, 2023, A ministerial-level Arab Group meeting was convened at the Permanent Mission of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to the United Nations in New York. In attendance were prominent figures such as Saudi Arabia's Minister of Foreign Affairs, Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah; Jordan's Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Dr. Ayman Safadi; Egypt's Minister of Foreign Affairs, Sameh Shoukry, and other distinguished officials.
This gathering was part of unified Arab coordination efforts, addressing the evolving situation in Gaza, leading up to a pivotal United Nations Security Council (UNSC) session focusing on the broader Middle East situation, with a specific focus on the Palestinian issue.
During the meeting, discussions centered on recent developments in Gaza and its surrounding areas. The attendees explored Arab initiatives aimed at addressing these developments and stressed the importance of Arab cooperation to cease the ongoing military escalation by Israeli occupation forces.
