Jeddah, October 04, 2023, The Ministers of Hajj and Umrah, Tawfiq Al-Rabiah, and his Moroccan counterpart, Ahmed Al-Tawfiq, have come together to formalize an agreement pertaining to the air transportation of Umrah pilgrims and visitors from Morocco to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. This pivotal accord was signed during a productive working session held in Rabat.
This collaborative agreement, crafted in partnership with Saudi Arabia's premier airline, Saudia, has a twofold objective: to enhance the standards of air transportation while ensuring price stability. It also introduces innovative initiatives aimed at elevating the overall experience and service quality for Umrah pilgrims and visitors.
During the course of their meeting, the ministers deliberated on measures designed to streamline arrival procedures for Moroccan pilgrims and visitors entering the Kingdom. This initiative underscores the ongoing commitment of the ministry to continually enhance service quality and enrich the spiritual journey for Umrah participants and visitors alike.
In a press conference following the meeting, Minister Al-Rabiah underscored the significance of his official visit to Morocco, emphasizing the profound historical and fraternal ties between the two nations. He further highlighted the sustained growth in various spheres of cooperation between Saudi Arabia and Morocco, a development firmly supported by the leadership of both countries.
The meeting drew the participation of Saudi Ambassador to Morocco, Abdullah bin Saad Al-Ghariri, along with a distinguished delegation representing the government and private sector. Their collective focus remains on enhancing the overall pilgrim experience and further strengthening the bonds between the two nations.
