Ministers signed an MoU on agriculture cooperation between Saudi Arabia-Zambia

Riyadh, November 10, 2023, In a significant move, the Minister of Environment, Water, and Agriculture, Eng. Abdulrahman bin Abdulmohsen Al-Fadhli, inked a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Zambia's Minister of Agriculture, Reuben Phiri Mtolo. This MoU, signed during the Saudi-Arab-African Economic Conference in Riyadh, marks a commitment to advance collaboration in various facets of agriculture, including technological advancements, genetic resources, biological pest control, plant disease management, research, policies, and systems.


The core objectives of this agreement encompass strengthening agricultural cooperation, the exchange of knowledge and expertise, organizing technical visits, joint research endeavors, and facilitating trade interactions between the two nations.


This development further bolsters the amicable ties between Saudi Arabia and Zambia, underscoring their joint efforts in the agricultural sector. It is also in alignment with a broader cooperation agreement between the two governments, initially signed in 2010, solidifying their commitment to mutual growth and prosperity.
