Ministry initiates gift programs in Tirana, Albania, for Ramadan celebrations

Tirana, March 14, 2024, Yesterday, the Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Dawah, and Guidance initiated the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques' gift programs in Tirana, the capital of Albania, aimed at distributing dates and hosting iftar banquets throughout the holy month of Ramadan.

The ceremony, attended by several dignitaries including Saudi Ambassador to Albania Faisal Hifzi and head of the Islamic Sheikhdom of Albania Boyar Sepahyu, marked the commencement of these programs. Notable Islamic figures and ambassadors were also present to witness the launch.

A total of five tons of dates will be distributed as part of the program, benefiting approximately 28,000 individuals in Tirana. Ambassador Hifzi emphasized Saudi Arabia's commitment to addressing the needs of Muslims, particularly during Ramadan, highlighting these programs as integral components of the ongoing support provided by the Saudi government to the Muslim community.

In his remarks, Sheikh Sepahyu expressed gratitude to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and His Royal Highness the Crown Prince, extending prayers for Allah Almighty to reward them for their dedication to serving Islam and Muslims.
