Ministry of Communications and Information Technology Launches 2nd Phase of 'Technology Localization Centers' Initiative


The "Technology Localization Centers" strategy's second phase has been unveiled by the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology.


In order to localize application and software development, outsourcing, and communication services within the Kingdom, the program seeks to fortify partnerships with the private sector.


The project's second phase intends to assist top technology firms and greatly increase the number of technology centers.


"Riyadh, August 9, 2024." The "Technology Localization Centers" initiative has entered its second phase, according to a statement released by the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology. This is an extension of the previous phase, which proved to be successful and led to the opening of over fifteen facilities in six different locations throughout the Kingdom.The initiative intends to strengthen collaboration with the private sector to localize application and software development, outsourcing, and communication services within the Kingdom. This is part of the Ministry's ongoing efforts to boost the digital economy, create job opportunities, and develop the technical skills of youth in various regions of the Kingdom. This is a crucial part of the endeavor.The project's second phase, which is being carried out in partnership with the National Information Technology Development Program, intends to greatly increase the quantity of technology centers. With this new development, the Kingdom's efforts to digitally change itself will be strengthened and it will be able to maintain its position as a global leader in technology innovation and advancement.
