28 Million Digital Identities Issued: The Ministry of Interior announced that over 28 million unified digital identities have been issued through the Absher platform, facilitating access to various government services.


Riyadh, December 26, 2024 – In a significant milestone for Saudi Arabia’s digital transformation, the Ministry of Interior has announced that the number of unified digital identities issued through its cutting-edge electronic platform, Absher, has surpassed an impressive 28 million. These digital identities are pivotal in empowering users to access a wide array of services across the Ministry’s platforms, including Absher Individuals, Absher Business, and Absher Government.


The Absher platform serves as a gateway to digital government services, streamlining interactions between citizens, residents, and businesses with the government. The platform has facilitated seamless access to a variety of services ranging from renewing residency permits and vehicle registrations to personal identification management. In addition to these services, users with digital identities can also engage with more than 500 government and private entities through the unified national access portal, Nafath.
