Ministry of Interior Showcases Newborn Registration and Digital Document Services

Riyadh, October 22, 2024 – The Ministry of Interior is proudly showcasing its innovative newborn registration and digital document services at the Absher platform during the Global Health Exhibition 2024, taking place from October 21 to 23. This initiative aims to enhance the health and humanitarian efforts facilitated by both the service and security sectors, reflecting the Kingdom's commitment to integrating technology into essential public services.

At the Ministry of Interior's pavilion, visitors are invited to explore a comprehensive range of services designed to streamline various administrative processes. These offerings include the renewal and printing of driving licenses and vehicle registrations, as well as the issuance, renewal, and activation of passports. Additionally, attendees can renew and print national ID cards, obtain replacements for damaged cards, and print residence permits (Iqamas) for expatriates.

The pavilion is open daily from 10 AM to 7 PM, providing ample opportunity for guests to engage with the Ministry's representatives and learn about the benefits of these digital services. By leveraging technology through the Absher platform, the Ministry of Interior aims to simplify procedures, improve efficiency, and enhance the overall experience for citizens and residents alike.

The introduction of newborn registration services underscores the Ministry’s proactive approach to addressing the needs of families in Saudi Arabia. By facilitating the registration process for newborns, the Ministry not only supports the health sector but also contributes to the broader goal of ensuring that every citizen has access to essential documentation from the very beginning of their life.

This initiative is part of the Ministry of Interior's ongoing efforts to advance digital transformation in public services, ensuring that they are more accessible, efficient, and responsive to the needs of the population. As the Kingdom continues to embrace technological advancements, the Ministry remains committed to enhancing public services that reflect the highest standards of quality and convenience.
