Ministry of Interior Wins First Place for Best Security Awareness Films

Lieutenant General Mohammad bin Abdullah Al-Bassami, head of the Ministry’s delegation, accepted the award, emphasizing the importance of innovative media in promoting public safety and security.
The Ministry of Interior of Saudi Arabia won first place for the best two security awareness films of 2024 at the periodic awareness film competition organized by the Arab Interior Ministers’ Council in Tunis.

Tunis, December 5, 2024 – In a significant achievement, the Ministry of Interior of Saudi Arabia has been awarded first place for producing the best two security awareness films of 2024 at the periodic awareness film competition organized by the General Secretariat of the Arab Interior Ministers’ Council. The award ceremony, held in Tunis, marked a notable recognition of the Ministry’s efforts in enhancing security awareness through effective media campaigns.


The winning films, titled "Safe Use of Artificial Intelligence Applications" and "The Importance of Volunteering in Crime Prevention," were praised for their impactful messaging and relevance to contemporary security challenges. These films were designed to educate the public on the safe and responsible use of artificial intelligence, as well as the critical role that community involvement plays in preventing crime. The success of these films highlights the Ministry’s proactive approach to addressing emerging security concerns and engaging citizens in the pursuit of a safer society.


The award was presented to the head of the Ministry of Interior delegation, Director of Public Security Lieutenant General Mohammad bin Abdullah Al-Bassami, who expressed pride in the Ministry’s accomplishments and reaffirmed the importance of utilizing innovative platforms to promote security awareness. The competition, which included 11 participating countries and spanned five categories, was a demonstration of the Arab region's collective commitment to enhancing public safety and fostering cooperation among security agencies.
