Madinah, August 3, 2024, The Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Dawa and Guidance is showcasing its electronic applications through smart devices at its booth at the Almadinah Book Fair 2024, organized by the Literature, Publishing, and Translation Commission.
The ministry’s booth allows visitors to experience Hajj and Umrah virtually using 3D technology. It features the "Rushd" app, which provides various services including an electronic Quran, prayer times, Qibla direction, educational resources for pilgrims, and a communication service with the ministry.
Another application that the ministry is showcasing is the "Correct Citation," which is available in four languages -- Arabic, English, Urdu, and French -- and enables users to search through the texts of the Holy Quran and the Hadith collections. It allows users to include translations or interpretations of verses and ensures accurate transcription of the texts through reliable databases.
The ministry is also showcasing the Islamic Electronic Library, which contains over 1,000 readable and audio materials, as well as scholarly messages in various Islamic sciences, available in 51 international languages, and 2,000 educational slides using modern digital devices.
