Ministry of Media to host "Media Oasis" during WEF in Riyadh

Riyadh, April 28, 2024, The Ministry of Media is gearing up to host the sixth edition of "Media Oasis" at VIA Riyadh from April 28 to 29, synchronizing with Riyadh's hosting of the World Economic Forum (WEF) Special Meeting.

"Media Oasis" stands as one of the Ministry of Media's innovative initiatives designed to offer media outlets opportunities to cover both local and international events. Leveraging modern technology, the initiative aims to bolster creativity, innovation, and excellence in media coverage of major national events and occasions within the Kingdom.

Spanning an impressive 1,500 square meters, Media Oasis will feature several significant national projects and engage various entities such as the Ministry of Sports, the Ministry of Environment, Water, and Agriculture, the Premium Residency Center, Diriyah Company, ROSHN Company, digital partner Zain KSA, and media partner General Authority of Media Regulation.

The objective behind Media Oasis is to provide a dynamic platform for visitors, including officials and media professionals, to delve into showcased national projects. Through interactive models and cutting-edge technologies, visitors can explore these initiatives uniquely, gather accurate information, engage directly with experts to address queries, and contribute to effectively introducing these projects.

The Oasis will showcase interactive models of major Kingdom projects utilizing advanced technologies, allowing everyone to discover these initiatives in a non-traditional manner, thus enhancing their visibility within the media coverage of the WEF.

With an anticipated attendance of over 700 visitors, including officials from various regional and international countries attending the WEF, along with 150 media outlets and journalists from across the globe, this edition of Media Oasis marks a significant milestone in its ongoing success. The initiative commenced in 2024, following the resounding achievements of five previous editions held during 2023 across three different countries, garnering enthusiastic participation from both local and international stakeholders.

The inaugural edition coincided with the 32nd Arab Summit in Jeddah, while subsequent editions were aligned with notable events such as the Grand Hajj Symposium, G20 Leaders' Summit, African, Arab, and Islamic summits, and Riyadh's selection as the host city for World Expo 2030, showcasing Media Oasis as a dynamic platform consistently synchronized with major national and international milestones.
