Riyadh, March 22, 2024, In a recent communication addressed to hospitality establishments in Makkah and Madinah, the Ministry of Tourism has emphasized the critical importance of strictly adhering to the instructions, guidelines, and circulars issued by the General Directorate of Civil Defense. This directive is aimed at safeguarding the safety of visitors, Umrah performers, and pilgrims throughout their stay during the Umrah season in the holy month of Ramadan and the upcoming 1445 AH Hajj season.
The ministry has urged hospitality facilities to ensure the activation of their approved evacuation plans in case of emergency situations. Furthermore, it has recommended conducting hypothetical drills in coordination with Civil Defense to enhance preparedness and response capabilities.
