Kathmandu, September 18, 2023, The Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Dawah, and Guidance organized a seminar on tolerance and the role of Islam in fostering social peace today in Kathmandu, Nepal. The conference focused on the tolerance of the Islamic faith. On the occasion, over 170 representatives of Islamic associations and organizations participated. Samim Ansari, the chairman of the Nepal Muslim Commission, welcomed the attendees, among whom was Sheikh Awad bin Sabti Al-Enezi, the undersecretary of the ministry of Islamic affairs, dawah, and guidance. He emphasized that the leadership of the Kingdom is keen on promoting moderate Islam and coexistence throughout the world, as well as achieving world peace and preventing injustice, aggression, and terrorism.
He also emphasized the Kingdom's initiatives to fight fanaticism and extremism and show the outside world the justice and moderation built within Islam.
Ganesh Prasad, the chairman of the Nepal National Assembly, thanked the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for arranging the event and emphasized the significance of religious tolerance and cohabitation for all peoples worldwide.
Saad bin Nasser Abu Himed, the Saudi ambassador to the Federal Democratic Republic of Nepal, as well as other diplomats and officials from advocacy and charitable organizations, attended.
