Ministry partners with SHRM for worker training and skill development

Riyadh, February 28, 2024, During its engagement in the Human Capability Initiative Conference, the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development solidified its commitment to enhancing workforce capabilities by signing a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the American Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM). The aim is to explore training opportunities and elevate the skill sets of workers and beneficiaries of the ministry's services.

Representing the ministry at the MoU signing was Mr. Mazin bin Mohammed Alhomoud, the Assistant Undersecretary for Human Resources Development and Training. On behalf of SHRM, Armand Shibo, the Regional Assistant Director and Head of Business for the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, participated in the agreement ceremony. The event was graced by the presence of Eng. Abdullah bin Ali Al-Kabeer, the Ministry's Undersecretary for Human Capital Development.

The memorandum outlines collaboration through the professional and vocational certification project, aimed at enhancing the skills and expertise of workers in specialized fields crucial to the Saudi labor market. Additionally, both parties have agreed to exchange knowledge and expertise, conduct joint research in human resources, and participate in events, activities, and programs geared towards the advancement and cultivation of human capital.
