In 2024, for hosting Hajj pilgrims on their way to Makkah, two Miqat viz., Wadi Muharram and Al-Sayl Al-Kabeer mosques, were set up for service. They are Wadi Muharram and Al-Sayl Al-Kabeer Mosque which have made the transport flows seamless through introduction of different services and amenities such as departments, ways for the Hajj buses and special parking zones.
Both mosques have air conditioning, lighting, and specific entrance and departure routes for pilgrims, and staff members are available to educate and assist pilgrims during their visit.
Taif, the 4th of June, 2024. Wadi Muharram and Al-Sayl Al-Kabeer, also known as Qarn Al-Manazi, are the two Miqat mosques that have finished their preparations to serve pilgrims who are heading to Makkah from the southern, central, and eastern regions for the Hajj pilgrimage that will take place in 1445 AH. To improve the flow of traffic in the nearby areas, these amenities include a variety of service facilities, traffic lanes for Hajj buses, and parking lots specifically designated for automobiles. Both mosques have air conditioning, lighting, and pilgrim-only entrance and departure routes. The staff members at both establishments make a concerted effort to educate pilgrims about the rituals and respond to any and all queries that they may have. Many other staff members who work in technological maintenance, operations, and female staff positions ensure the comfort of Allah's guests during their initial presence. The Saudi Press Agency (SPA) photographed the courtyards of the two mosques, capturing the significant differences between them in terms of the services and amenities available to welcome pilgrims, as well as the operational activities taking place within the courtyards.
