Riyadh, September 28, 2023, Mobily has taken a significant step towards advancing its digital and IoT B2B offerings by signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Huawei. This strategic partnership, formalized at Huawei's headquarters in Shenzhen, China, aligns with Mobily's overarching strategy to accelerate the adoption of cutting-edge technologies capable of delivering innovative services across various sectors, including consumer, industry, and government.
Eng. Salman Albadran, CEO of Mobily, emphasized the company's commitment to building on its achievements in the digital and telecommunications domains. Mobily is investing in emerging technologies such as cloud computing and IoT while further digitizing and enhancing its services and solutions to support the goals of Saudi Vision 2030.
The MoU encompasses two primary areas of collaboration. The first focuses on incubating consumer digital applications like cloud gaming and storage, leveraging Huawei's Saudi Cloud platform. This partnership aims to provide digital cloud services to Saudi enterprises and support their digital transformation journeys.
The second area aims to enhance services, including IoT, Cloud, and security. It involves implementing passive IoT and proof of concept, allowing Mobily to become a comprehensive IoT service provider. Additionally, the partnership will pilot a smart pole solution as part of smart city projects.
