Riyadh, October 14, 2024 – The Saudi Authority for Industrial Cities and Technology Zones (MODON) has achieved a significant accolade by securing five prestigious regional awards in the fields of human resources development and women's empowerment for the year 2024. These awards reflect MODON's sustained commitment to cultivating a dynamic, inclusive, and forward-thinking work environment. As the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia continues its push towards national development, MODON has positioned itself as a leader in nurturing talent and fostering workplace innovation.
Among the accolades awarded to MODON, the authority was named the "Preferred Employer" of the year, an honor that underscores its appeal as a top employer in the region. MODON was also recognized for having the "Best Leadership Development" program, which highlights its dedication to equipping leaders with the necessary skills to drive the organization forward. Furthermore, MODON secured the top spot in the category of "Innovation in Employee Engagement," earning first place across all government and public sector entities within the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) region.
In addition to these distinguished recognitions, MODON achieved second place in the category of "Innovation and Excellence in Employee Experience," demonstrating its commitment to continuously enhancing the work environment for its employees. Notably, MODON also earned third place for its efforts in "Supporting and Empowering Women," reflecting the authority’s strides in promoting gender equality and fostering a culture of inclusivity within the workplace.
The awards were announced during the prestigious HR Awards ceremony, which was part of the HR Summit Middle East Edition held in Abu Dhabi, UAE. The event was a central feature of the 12th GCC GOV HR Summit 2024, a gathering of regional leaders in human resources that aims to advance the standards of workforce management across the region.
MODON’s achievements come as no surprise, given its longstanding focus on developing and managing industrial cities and technology zones in line with Saudi Arabia's broader national priorities. Since its inception in 2001, MODON has played a pivotal role in driving industrial growth in the Kingdom. By collaborating with both public and private sectors, MODON has helped expand the area of developed land in 36 industrial cities across Saudi Arabia to more than 209 million square meters. These industrial cities now house 6,882 industrial facilities and 436 logistics facilities, representing a critical part of the nation's economic infrastructure.
Looking forward, MODON remains committed to its vision of becoming the preferred destination for industrial investment and the primary partner for growth in the technology and industrial sectors within Saudi Arabia. Through its leadership in innovation, workforce development, and strategic industrial planning, MODON continues to play a vital role in positioning Saudi Arabia as a hub for industrial and technological advancement.
