Jeddah, September 17, 2023, Mohammad Al-Jasser, President of the Islamic Development Bank (IsDB) and Chairman of the IsDB Group, led a high-level delegation to the 78th session of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA), which was held from September 17 to 24 and had as its theme "Rebuilding trust and reigniting global solidarity: Accelerating action on the 2030 Agenda and its Sustainable Development Goals towards peace, prosperity, progress, and sustainability for all." The IsDB delegation engages in high-level conversations and meetings with world leaders, decision-makers, and representatives of international organizations during the UN General Assembly to discuss a variety of issues related to the sustainable development goals in the areas of poverty reduction, health care, education, gender equality, and climate action.
