Jeddah, April 8, 2024, Mohammad bin Fahd Al-Harithi, the CEO of the Saudi Broadcasting Authority, recently unveiled the victors of the 10th edition of the "Read and Rise" competition, an initiative organized by Nida Al-Islam Radio. The competition aimed to foster memorization, tajweed (Quranic recitation rules), and intonation skills among participants.
Hani bin Nafea Al-Sulami, the General Manager of Nida Al-Islam, highlighted the remarkable response to the competition, with over 5,000 contestants hailing from 35 countries globally. The total prize pool amounted to SAR 115,000.
The competition comprised three stages, culminating in the selection of 10 winners. Additionally, Nida Al-Islam Radio enlisted Quran-reading experts from the Islamic World League to serve as jurors, ensuring a fair and knowledgeable assessment of the participants' performances.
