The Export and Import Week organized by Monsha'at concluded with over 37 meetings and workshops across Riyadh, Madinah, Jeddah, and Al-Khobar, aimed at enhancing entrepreneurs' understanding of global trade opportunities.

Riyadh, December 14, 2024 – The Small and Medium Enterprises General Authority (Monsha'at) successfully concluded the highly anticipated Export and Import Week yesterday, marking a significant milestone in its ongoing efforts to support and empower Saudi entrepreneurs. The event, held across multiple cities including Riyadh, Madinah, Jeddah, and Al-Khobar, brought together a wide array of public and private sector entities, all united in their commitment to fostering growth and innovation in the Kingdom’s export-import sector.

The Export and Import Week aimed to enhance the knowledge and capabilities of entrepreneurs by providing them with valuable insights into the investment opportunities within the global trade landscape. Additionally, the event sought to introduce participants to a wide range of services and programs designed to support entrepreneurs, offered by various government agencies, private companies, and financial institutions. These initiatives are aligned with the Kingdom's broader Vision 2030 objectives, which focus on diversifying the economy and boosting the role of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in driving economic growth.

Throughout the week, over 37 meetings, workshops, and interactive sessions were held, featuring 26 government and private sector entities. These sessions provided practical, real-world guidance on navigating the complexities of international trade, understanding regulatory requirements, accessing financing options, and tapping into new markets. More than 1,729 entrepreneurs and SME owners registered to participate, underscoring the event's importance and the strong demand for knowledge and resources in the export-import sector.

The diversity of participants and the range of topics covered during the event reflected the growing interest and optimism surrounding Saudi Arabia's SME sector, which continues to play a pivotal role in the Kingdom's economic transformation. By connecting entrepreneurs with key industry stakeholders and decision-makers, Export and Import Week provided a valuable platform for networking, collaboration, and growth, positioning Saudi SMEs to expand their reach in global markets and contribute to the Kingdom's economic diversification goals.

As the event concluded, Monsha'at reinforced its commitment to supporting Saudi entrepreneurs and SMEs through continuous initiatives, offering resources and opportunities that will enable them to thrive in an increasingly competitive and interconnected global economy. With events like Export and Import Week, the future looks promising for Saudi Arabia’s entrepreneurial community, as they leverage new tools, knowledge, and networks to propel their businesses to international success.
