Riyadh, February 15, 2025 – The Small and Medium Enterprises General Authority (Monsha'at) marked World Radio Day by organizing a series of insightful dialogue sessions featuring leading media experts across its Support Centers in Riyadh, Madinah, Jeddah, and Khobar.Among the distinguished speakers was Abdulrahman Majrashi, Head of the Center for Government Communication and official spokesperson for the Ministry of Media, who participated in a session titled "Complementarity between Media and Media Entrepreneurship."


During the discussion, Majrashi underscored the Ministry’s commitment to fostering media entrepreneurship, highlighting the launch of approximately 11 initiatives in 2024—dubbed the "Year of Media Transformation." These initiatives, alongside over 15 major events, seven flagship projects, and six international forums, aim to elevate local content creation, showcase success stories, and enhance the visibility of government projects within the Kingdom.Majrashi further elaborated on the Ministry's groundbreaking projects, including "Saudipedia," a comprehensive digital platform offering accurate and reliable information about Saudi Arabia. Initially launched in Arabic, the platform is set to expand into five additional languages to reach a broader global audience.


Other key initiatives include Saudi Konoz, the Impact Makers Forum (ImpaQ), Mediathon, and Media Oasis, all of which reflect the Kingdom’s dedication to fostering innovation and excellence in the media sector. Through these efforts, Monsha'at and the Ministry of Media continue to play a pivotal role in shaping the future of media entrepreneurship in Saudi Arabia, reinforcing the nation's position as a hub for creative and digital content.
