Upon completion of the Hajj ceremony, pilgrims are issued with Holy Quran upon departure from Saudi Arabia by the Ministry’s Branch of Islamic Affairs, Dawah and Guidance which is situated in the Eastern Region.
Distribution of the Holy Quran: 10,928 copies were distributed overall between the 12th of Dhul Hijjah and yesterday.
The distribution was done through five ports in the Eastern Region, with each port distributing a different number of copies: Al-Batha (1,690), Empty Quarter (3,480), Al-Raqa'i (1,124), Salwa (3,480), and King Fahd Causeway Port (1,154).
Dammam, June 24, 2024.After the Hajj rituals are completed, the Ministry's Branch of Islamic Affairs, Dawah, and Guidance in the Eastern Region gives the Holy Quran Gift from the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques to pilgrims who are departing through five ports in the Eastern Region of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The distribution started on the 12th of Dhul Hijjah, when pilgrims left, and it continued until yesterday, a Saturday.
There were a total of 10,928 copies of the Holy Quran distributed during this period of time. These copies were distributed as follows: The border crossing in Al-Batha distributed 1,690 copies, the border crossing in Empty Quarter distributed 3,480 copies, the border crossing in Al-Raqa'i distributed 1,124 copies, the border crossing in Salwa distributed 3,480 copies, and the King Fahd Causeway Port distributed 1,154 copies. The branch has confirmed that it will proceed with its plan to bid farewell to the pilgrims and present them with this gift. The goal is to accomplish this by distributing approximately 41,740 copies of the Holy Quran across the five ports.
