Jizan, March 25, 2025 – During Ramadan, Moroccan families in the Jazan Region maintain their culinary traditions while incorporating local influences, creating a unique iftar experience.


The Saudi Press Agency (SPA) interviewed Moroccan resident Asmaa bint Mohammed, who highlighted the importance of Moroccan spices like saffron, cinnamon, and ginger, alongside dates, honey, and orange blossom water in preparing traditional Ramadan dishes. She emphasized that Moroccan families in Jazan preserve their cultural heritage with staple dishes such as "Harira," served with dates and milk. Additionally, they actively engage in food exchanges with their Saudi neighbors, fostering bonds of warmth and connection during the holy month.
