Riyadh, September 12, 2023, A memorandum of understanding (MoU) was signed at the commission's Riyadh headquarters by the Education and Training Evaluation Commission (ETEC), the Arab League Educational, Cultural, and Scientific Organization (ALECSO), and the Saudi National Commission for Education, Culture, and Science. By expanding relationships and projects between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and ALECSO, the MoU underscores the role that Saudi state institutions play in supporting ALECSO's work. The MoU was signed by ALECSO Director-General Mohamed Ould Amar and ETEC Chairman Dr. Khalid Bin Abdullah Al-Sabti.
The agreement aims to increase cooperation in a number of areas, including developing standards for Arabic language education curricula, establishing accreditation procedures for Arabic language programs, and establishing and implementing the framework for Arabic language tests.
The MoU also seeks to host seminars for experts and specialists in the fields covered by the pact, hold training programs, working sessions, and capacity-building programs, and produce guides for the distant teaching of Arabic. It also aims to exchange cooperative research.
