Muslim World League’s Secretary-General delivers the Eid sermon at the largest mosque in the Balkans, Albania.

TIRANA April 1, 2025 — Albania welcomed Sheikh Dr. Mohammed Al-Issa, Secretary-General of the Muslim World League (MWL) and President of the Association of Muslim Scholars, who delivered the Eid Al-Fitr sermon at the Grand Mosque of Tirana, the largest mosque in Albania and the Balkans, in the presence of distinguished Albanian scholars.
Dr. Al-Issa began by offering heartfelt congratulations to Muslims worldwide on Eid Al-Fitr.
He highlighted that Eid is a time for joy, renewal of faith, and unity, urging worshippers to uphold Islamic values and strengthen the bonds of brotherhood and community.
He emphasized the significance of forgiveness and harmony on this sacred occasion, stating that these virtues are universal, extending beyond Muslims to all humanity.
In his sermon, Dr. Al-Issa also stressed the essential role of the family as the foundation of society, calling it both the core and protector of a nation.
He praised the vital contributions of women in nurturing and maintaining the family unit, acknowledging their role in ensuring social and moral stability.
