Makkah, March 07, 2024, The Muslim World League has issued a strong condemnation of the recent decision by the Israeli occupation to approve the construction of approximately 3,500 new settlement units in the West Bank. In a press release issued today, the league characterized this action as a blatant violation of international resolutions and United Nations charters.
Emphasizing the urgency of the situation, the league called upon the international community to adopt a sincere and resolute stance to bring an end to the ongoing violations of the rights of the Palestinian people. These violations, according to the league, not only hinder the prospects of achieving peace and stability in the region but also stand in direct contradiction to international norms.
The league urged immediate action to alleviate the immense suffering endured by the Palestinian people and to facilitate their access to legitimate rights, guided by religious and humanitarian values as well as relevant international resolutions. The statement reflects the league's commitment to advocating for justice, peace, and the well-being of the Palestinian population in the face of concerning developments in the region.
