Makkah, September 25, 2023, The Muslim World League (MWL) has strongly condemned the disgraceful actions of an extremist group that involved tearing copies of the Holy Quran in front of several embassies in The Hague. In a statement released on Sunday, MWL's Secretary-General and Chairman of the Organization of Muslim Scholars, Sheikh Dr. Mohammed Al-Issa, voiced his vehement disapproval of these acts, which blatantly disregard both religious and humanitarian principles. He also made it clear that he rejects all forms of Islamophobia.
Al-Issa emphasized that such repeated incidents, which disrespect the Muslim faith, amount to incitement of religious hatred, intolerance, and discrimination, and he cautioned against the potential dire consequences they may lead to. He further stressed the urgency of implementing measures to prevent the recurrence of such abhorrent acts that ultimately serve extremist agendas.
