Makkah, October 19, 2023, The Muslim World League (MWL) has expressed its approval of the final communiqué issued during the open-ended meeting of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) Executive Committee, which strongly condemned the Israeli aggression against the Palestinian population. The MWL welcomed the results of this gathering, which was convened at the behest of Saudi Arabia, currently presiding over the Islamic Summit and the OIC Executive Committee, alongside Pakistan.
The purpose of this meeting was to address the ongoing humanitarian crisis occurring in Palestinian territories, which has unfolded in full view of the world. In an official statement, MWL Secretary-General Mohammad Al-Issa conveyed the league's support, along with its various councils, institutions, and entities, for the denunciation of the continued Israeli aggression, which has led to more tragedies, hardships, and collective suffering among innocent civilians.
Al-Issa further emphasized MWL's unwavering solidarity with the Palestinian government in its international and legal endeavors to halt these heinous acts. He stressed the paramount importance of ensuring essential supplies reach the Palestinian people.
He cautioned against the severe consequences of Israeli aggression, which have deeply affected the collective conscience of humanity. He highlighted the potential long-term implications, emphasizing the need for prompt and effective action by the international community to address this tragedy.
