Jeddah, April 10, 2025 – The National Center for Meteorology announced it will begin accepting applications for licenses and permits related to meteorological services starting tomorrow, covering the fields outlined in the executive regulations of the Meteorology Law.

The permitted specialties include roles such as maintenance technician, weather forecaster, and meteorological observer, as well as services like publishing meteorological data and applying for licenses for existing meteorological stations. Additional license types will be introduced gradually.

The center urged interested parties and beneficiaries to adhere to the approved permits in line with the Meteorology Law and its executive regulations. It also emphasized its ongoing efforts to offer awareness and educational initiatives to encourage compliance and highlight the significance of regulating the meteorological field. Workshops and meetings will be held to guide applicants through the procedures and available services.

This initiative reflects the center’s commitment to organizing the meteorological sector, improving the quality of professional practices, and ensuring the provision of top-tier services in alignment with Saudi Vision 2030.
