In a significant development for the Jazan Special Economic Zone, Eng. Khaled Al-Salem, Chairman of the Royal Commission for Jubail and Yanbu (RCJY), recently honored the National Coffee Company for Industry with a prestigious certificate. This recognition signifies that the company, a subsidiary of Saudi Coffee Company, has met the rigorous "eligibility criteria" set forth by the Special Economic Cities and Zones Authority (ECZA). The National Coffee Company is notably the first entity in the Jazan Special Economic Zone to achieve this certification through the Integrated Government Services Platform for Special Economic Zones (IGS), highlighting its commitment to excellence and regulatory compliance.

The announcement of this certification took place during Eng. Al-Salem's visit to the Jazan City Port for Basic and Transformative Industries. The visit also featured the signing of several pivotal investment agreements and memoranda of understanding aimed at bolstering economic and industrial development in the region.

Among the key agreements signed was a collaborative framework with SAL Logistics Services Company. This partnership is designed to enhance the integration of land, sea, and air logistics centers in the Jazan region, thereby improving connectivity with the Jazan City Port. This agreement underscores the region's commitment to optimizing its logistics infrastructure and fostering economic growth.

Additionally, two memoranda of understanding were established during the visit:

Tourism Services: A memorandum with a travel and tourism company to advance cooperation in tourism services. This includes the establishment of a Schengen visa office, aimed at boosting international travel and tourism opportunities for the city.

Safe Driving and Training: Another memorandum was signed with Arabian Group for Development and Investment Holding Company. This agreement focuses on supporting initiatives related to safe driving, road safety, and vocational and technical training, contributing to the region's overall safety and skill development.

These initiatives reflect a strategic effort to enhance the economic landscape of Jazan, foster investment, and promote sustainable development in the Special Economic Zone.
