Riyadh, February 6, 2024, The National Labor Observatory (NLO) has released its latest report detailing the Saudi private sector job market for January 2024. This comprehensive report provides detailed statistics on various aspects of employment in the private sector.
One notable highlight from the report is the record-breaking total number of employees in the private sector, which reached an impressive figure of 11,054,576 by the end of January. This significant milestone was achieved due to several contributing factors, including initiatives by human resources and social development entities, increased job opportunities within the private sector, ongoing economic reforms, and supportive government measures.
Breaking down the employment figures, the report reveals that out of the total number of employees, 2,327,858 were Saudi citizens. Among these, 1,375,478 were male citizens, while 952,380 were female citizens. Additionally, a substantial number of residents, totaling 8,726,718, were employed in the private sector, comprising 8,386,925 men and 339,793 women.
Furthermore, the report highlights that in January, a noteworthy 32,447 Saudi citizens entered the private sector workforce for the first time, indicating a positive trend towards increased employment opportunities for Saudi nationals.
