National Leader of Turkmen People Arrives in Riyadh for One Water Summit

Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, National Leader of the Turkmen People and Chairman of the People's Council of Turkmenistan, arrived in Riyadh to attend the One Water Summit, which focuses on global water issues and sustainable solutions.

On December 4, 2024, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, the National Leader of the Turkmen People and Chairman of the People's Council of Turkmenistan, arrived in Riyadh to participate in the prestigious One Water Summit. This high-profile event, which focuses on global water issues and sustainable solutions, serves as an important platform for international cooperation and innovation in water resource management.


Upon his arrival at King Khalid International Airport, President Berdimuhamedov and his accompanying delegation were warmly welcomed by Deputy Governor of Riyadh Region, Prince Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Abdulaziz. Also present to greet the delegation were Saudi Arabia's Ambassador to Turkmenistan, Saeed bin Othman Suwayed, and other senior Saudi officials, reflecting the importance of this visit in further strengthening the diplomatic ties between Saudi Arabia and Turkmenistan.


The One Water Summit, known for gathering global leaders, experts, and stakeholders from across the world, will provide an opportunity for Turkmenistan to engage in discussions around critical water-related challenges and solutions. President Berdimuhamedov’s participation underscores Turkmenistan's commitment to addressing global water security, sustainable development, and environmental challenges.
