National Program for Gifted Identification discovered 186,915 gifted students

Riyadh, August 25, 2023, In a remarkable achievement, the National Program for Gifted Identification has made significant strides since its inception in 2011. Through a strategic collaboration between the esteemed King Abdul Aziz and His Companions Foundation for Giftedness and ," the Ministry of Education, and the Education and Training Evaluation Authority, represented by the National Center for Assessment, a staggering total of 186,915 gifted male and female students have been identified. These exceptional individuals were discovered within the general education schools established throughout the Kingdom. It is worth noting that this remarkable feat was accomplished out of a pool of 518,000 students who underwent the rigorous Mawhiba scale tests, designed to assess multiple mental abilities.

A groundbreaking program has made waves both nationally and internationally with its innovative approach to identifying gifted individuals. This program utilizes a cutting-edge scientific methodology, drawing upon the most crucial scientific principles and top educational practices. Its primary goal is to ensure the accurate selection of gifted students, thereby establishing an extensive and all-encompassing database that includes both men and women from various regions and cities, covering all levels of public education. In a recent statement to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA), Fahad Al-Tamimi, the Director of Mawhiba's Recognition and Registration Department, emphasized the significance of the Mawhiba criteria for multiple mental abilities. Al-Tamimi highlighted that these criteria serve as the initial gateway for identifying gifted individuals and act as a pivotal access point for a wide range of services and programs offered by Mawhiba.

In a remarkable feat, students who have not only discovered but also achieved qualification degrees are being given an extraordinary opportunity to partake in a multitude of programs and services offered by the esteemed organization, "Mawhiba". As we approach the end of 2022, the numbers speak for themselves, with over 27,000 talented individuals, both male and female, being sponsored through the highly acclaimed "Mawhiba Classes" program. Additionally, an impressive figure of more than 47,000 students, spanning across genders, have actively participated in the Mawhiba Academic Enrichment Program. This program, consisting of 34 diverse enrichment units in various scientific fields, has proven to be a stepping stone for these bright young minds. The fruits of their labor are evident, as Mawhiba students have achieved over 1,300 admissions to some of the most prestigious international universities through the Mawhiba Excellence Program. The impact of Mawhiba's initiatives on the educational landscape is undeniable, providing students with unparalleled opportunities for growth and success.

In a remarkable feat spanning over a decade, the National Program for Gifted Identification has garnered exceptional acclaim for the Kingdom on the global stage.
